Summer Programs

 

Climb Tulsa offers a variety of youth programs such as our climbing camps, training camp, climbing clubs, and teen club. Our summer offerings are designed for youth to experience different climbing disciplines, as well as have an opportunity to learn about various styles of climbing. Climbers will be instructed on movement, risk management, communication, problem solving, and many other skills while having fun!

 

Climbing Camps

Ages 5-10 and 10-14

Our half-day camp is designed to encourage both new and returning climbers to explore and enjoy climbing. At camp, youth will get to experience climbing disciplines such as bouldering, top roping, and auto-belays. They will get an opportunity to learn about various styles of climbing and have a chance to try out different techniques on the wall. Instructors may facilitate related activities such as slack lining and rappelling. Climbers will be instructed on movement, risk management, communication, problem solving, and many other skills while having fun!

Details:

  • $225/camper

  • Meet for 4 days straight, for 4 hours at a time (16 hours of instruction)

  • 5:1 instructor to participant ratio

  • Climbing gear rental included

  • Daily snack provided

  • Great for new and returning climbers alike!

 

Training Camp

Ages 9-16

Training camp is designed for young climbers who have participated in Climb Tulsa programs before. Instructors will facilitate activities that help youth expand their climbing knowledge and improve their climbing abilities. This is a great program option for youth who loved to be challenged and push themselves to reach new heights!

  • $225/camper

  • Meet for 4 days straight, for 4 hours at a time (16 hours of instruction)

  • 5:1 instructor to participant ratio

  • Climbing gear rental included

  • Daily snack provided

  • Climbing experience recommended!


Weekday Clubs

Ages 5-7, 8-10, and 11-14

Climbing clubs are a fun way for kids to learn about and experience climbing in a small group setting. With the help of instructors, youth will participate in various forms of climbing such as top ropes, bouldering, and auto belays. Club is a great place for new climbers to be introduced to the sport and for returning climbers to build on the skills they have learned in previous sessions. Clubs meets once a week for the entire summer (9 weeks total).

Details:

  • $205/participant

  • Starts week of June 6th

  • Ends week of August 1st

  • Meets for 1.5 hours, once a week (13.5 hours of instruction)

  • 5:1 instructor to participant ratio

  • Climbing gear rental included

 

 

Teen Climbing Club

Ages 13+

Our teen climbing club is designed for older youth (ages 14 and up). During club, teens will participate in various forms of climbing such as top ropes, bouldering, and auto belays with an emphasis on risk identification and management when climbing.  Club is a great place for new climbers to be introduced to the sport and for returning climbers to build on the skills they have learned in previous sessions. Climbing clubs are a fun way for youth to learn about and experience climbing in a small group setting. Teen club meets once a week for the entire summer (9 weeks total).

Details:

  • $175/participant

  • Starts week of June 6th

  • Ends week of August 1st

  • Meets for 2 hours, once a week (18 hours of instruction)

  • 10:1 instructor to participant ratio

  • Climbing gear rental included
